Bore-Zan is a pure xanthan gum supplied in white to cream colored free flowing powder. Primarily used as a viscosity modifier in drilling, workover and completion fluids. Fluids treated by Xanthan Gum exhibits pseudoplastic rheological properties (Increasing the ratio of yield to plastic viscosity, and lowering the “n” value). This fluids have low effect viscosity at hight shear rates round the bit allows maximum ROP; and high effect viscosity at low shear rates in the annulus space helps to carry cuttings.
